Policy synergies: aligning project results with EPBD and national renovation plans

  • Training and workshops

Policy alignment is key to scaling renovation efforts across Europe. This webinar examines how Citizen-led renovation contributes directly to the objectives of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and national building renovation plans (NBRPs) by providing practical, community-anchored models for inclusive, data-informed, and affordable renovation. It will demonstrate how CLR tools (retrofitting guide, renovation handbook, technical and financial advisory modules, legal guidance for energy communities, and crowdfunding business models, create strong synergies with EPBD provisions on advisory services, vulnerable households, deep renovation, and digital tools. Through insights from multiple CLR pilots, the presentation shows how citizen-driven approaches can support policy implementation, foster uptake at local level, and ensure that renovation remains both socially just and aligned with national and EU targets.

Speakers from CLR, CHRONICLE, and possibly Multicare will share experiences on bridging the gap between research, implementation, and policy frameworks to ensure long-term impact.
