Apply for the ManagEnergy Master Class on Heating & Cooling Plans

The first-ever ManagEnergy Master Class dedicated to Heating & Cooling Plans is now open for applications. The programme will support staff from local and regional Energy Agencies, as well as local and regional authorities, in strengthening their expertise to plan and deliver sustainable heating and cooling solutions across Europe.

Since its launch, the ManagEnergy Master Class series has successfully delivered 11 editions, bringing together hundreds of participants from across Europe to strengthen the capacity, expertise, and knowledge needed to develop sustainable energy projects. Beyond technical learning, the classes also provide valuable opportunities for peer exchange and networking.

A blended learning experience

The Master Classes are delivered in a blended learning format, combining online learning with an in-person training session in Brussels:

• 23 September 2026 – Online session (morning)
• 08–09 October 2026 – Face-to-face session in Brussels
• 20 October 2026 – Online session (morning)

The programme combines interactive tuition, workshops, case studies, guest lectures, and problem-solving exercises led by leading energy experts and experienced practitioners from local and regional Energy Agencies.

Participants will explore key aspects of heating and cooling planning, including:

• Development of heating and cooling markets
• Relevant technologies such as biomass and heat pumps
• Assessment and estimation of heating and cooling demand
• Regulatory frameworks
• Planning and financing approaches
• Market development and heating & cooling plan services
• Collaboration with key experts supporting implementation

Financial support available

Participants can benefit from financial support of up to €550 to cover travel and accommodation costs linked to the Brussels session.

Those who successfully complete the programme will also receive a Digital Badge certifying their participation.
