The event brought together experts, stakeholders, and citizens to discuss and develop effective communication strategies to drive renovation initiatives led by the community.

Workshop Overview

The workshop featured a series of interactive sessions and discussions aimed at exploring various aspects of communication strategies that can be employed in citizen-led renovation projects. The primary goal was to identify and overcome common barriers, enhance community engagement, and promote successful renovation practices.

Key Topics Covered

  1. Social Media Strategies:
    • Leveraging different social media platforms to reach a wider audience.
    • Creating engaging content to raise awareness and encourage participation.
    • Utilising analytics to measure the impact of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  2. Good Practices:
    • Case studies of successful citizen-led renovation projects.
    • Best practices for community engagement and maintaining momentum.
    • Tools and techniques for effective communication with various stakeholders.

Conclusions and Recommendations

The workshop concluded with several key recommendations for enhancing communication in citizen-led renovation initiatives:

  • Utilise Multi-Channel Communication: Employing a combination of social media, traditional media, and face-to-face interactions to reach and engage different audience segments.
  • Focus on Storytelling: Sharing success stories and personal experiences to inspire and motivate others.
  • Provide Clear and Accessible Information: Ensuring that information about renovation processes, benefits, and support mechanisms is easily accessible and understandable.
  • Encourage Collaboration: Promoting partnerships between community groups, local authorities, and experts to foster a collaborative approach to renovation.

We look forward to continuing our efforts to empower citizens and promote sustainable renovation practices across communities.
