Projects often fail to deliver effective solutions due to a lack of specificity and grounding in real problems and needs. To address this, metaCCAZE has developed an innovative approach to tailor each project’s final output to the specific needs of participating cities. Expert project managers coordinate the broader guidelines to implement these solutions.

This approach, called metadesign, involves designing each innovative solution during the project, with constant monitoring and adaptation based on each city's Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) and specific demands.

Initially, each city is assigned innovative solutions (use cases) based on their SUMP outcomes and defined by the project partners. Throughout the project, these use cases are refined through collaboration between project partners and city managers. This process includes gathering citizen input to better define and shape the use cases.

The focus is on continuous follow-ups between project partners and city managers to incorporate their input into shaping the city's needs and prototypes for the use cases. Governance and business models are predefined to align with the operational and functional needs of citizens and the city.

The goal is to create a model of constant adaptability and follow-up by the project partners. This involves organizing in-person events where city managers, citizens, and stakeholders collaboratively redefine innovative solutions. These events are designed to be flexible, allowing each city to customise activities according to its specific needs and the type of event it wants to create.
