Officially an Energy Community: Pilot Antrodoco

In recent months, the Renewable Energy Community of Antrodoco has made significant progress on multiple fronts. On the legal side, the evaluation of the transformation from an association to a cooperative is underway, the main option to ensure stability and access to funding despite the higher management costs. From an organisational perspective, new members have been admitted, and others will join shortly (80 members). Meetings have been initiated with local companies to develop new energy solutions. Additionally, the creation of a second REC configuration on a nearby primary substation is being studied.

A collective purchasing group has been established on the technical front, encouraging the adoption of new residential photovoltaic systems. Nine new residential installations (>30 kW) have increased local production, and training sessions have facilitated better energy management among members.

From a financial standpoint, the community has obtained public funds, including the PNRR contribution, which covers up to 40% of investments, and has attracted private capital to support new initiatives. Finally, the Energy Services Manager (GSE) has officially approved the C.E.R.A. as a Renewable Energy Community, making it operational for several months.
