About the Pilot
Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile di Antrodoco was established in 2019 and aims to provide environmental, economic, and social benefits through renewable energy projects. Located in Antrodoco, Italy, their mission includes supporting pilot projects for renewable energy enhancement. The current focus is on improving energy efficiency in aroun 12 residential and selected non-residential buildings, targeting energy savings between 30% and 40% through measures such as improved insulation, new windows, air-tightness, and renewable energy integrations like solar panels and heat pumps. The project, with a total investment of €1 million, aims to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. The team, comprising 10 volunteers and external staff, brings expertise in project supervision, construction techniques, renewable energy development, legal compliance, and community engagement. The focus of the support should be on monitoring progress and impact, creation of communication and engagement campaigns, Co-designing operational and commercial structures, collective purchasing actions and project bundling,
The project is designed for replication in other communities, with plans to share methodologies and results through documentation, workshops, peer exchanges, and collaborative partnerships.
Our support
CLR will support the Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile di Antrodoco, aiding the co-design of technical solutions that are economically viable, ensuring that limited resources are directed toward measures with the greatest impact. This collaborative approach will help optimise the use of available funds and guide strategic decision-making.
To foster community participation and raise awareness about the benefits of energy renovations, CLR will assist in developing effective communication and engagement campaigns. These efforts are crucial for attracting future members and clearly conveying the results and value of the initiative.
A monitoring framework will be established to track progress and evaluate the impact of renovations. This will allow the community to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate tangible outcomes to stakeholders. CLR will also collaborate on designing operational and commercial structures that are both efficient and scalable, enabling the delivery of renovation services even with limited municipal resources. This includes defining strategies for collective purchasing and project grouping, which will help reduce costs for citizens and facilitate financing.
By focusing on these areas, CLR’s support will directly address the community’s most pressing needs and contribute to the success and sustainability of the energy renovation project, despite existing constraints. Let me know if you'd like this adapted for a specific format or audience.
